Depict task; Oor Selfie by Antonis Kassiotis
Oor Selfie is a short film created by Antonis Kassiotis. Its a real life documentary showing an older generation taking part in a task influenced by the younger generation. I really enjoy this short film as it shows a clear contrast between the ages in society.
Whenever the Older couple are shown, there is a black and white effect over the screen which shows the era of their younger days, however when we get a direct screen grabbed visual of the ipad screen as they take the photo, it is in colour; this shows the difference between now and older times.
I feel like this short film could be aimed/made for any age, as younger children could benefit from watching it to see what the older generation are like with modern day technology, and older people may enjoy it as they would be able to relate with the couple.
The background music is very slow and piano based, which gives us a sense of sympathy towards the couple as they attempt to take a selfie.
